Diagnóstico DHI

Why did we develop this system?

DHI Global Medical Group developed a sophisticated diagnostic system (UDSA – Unique Diagnostic System for Alopecia) that allows us to always offer the right treatment for each type of alopecia in Panama.

DHI research shows that 67.3% (about 3 out of 4) of men and women suffering from hair loss chose treatment without a proper medical diagnosis.

In a study conducted by DHI, we found that 3 out of 4 men and women suffer from some type of disorder related to hair loss. That is, 63% of the population suffers from this condition. So, given that all people are different, so are their alopecia problems. And so are their treatments. That is why we developed a diagnostic system.

In our UDSA system, we analyze

The UDSA system was developed by a team of medical experts. Among them are consultants, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, psychologists, and endocrinologists. In this system, each case is examined individually.

DHI Alopecia Test

A proprietary diagnostic protocol that combines clinical evaluation, digital analysis, and standardized scales to accurately identify the type, stage, and progression pattern of alopecia. This test allows our specialists to design a precise and personalized treatment strategy.

Each aspect evaluated yields conclusions that will ultimately provide the specialist with the necessary information to propose a treatment that is appropriate for the type of problem the patient has. If you have any questions, please contact us for more information.

What type of alopecia do I have?

In order to identify the stage of alopecia a patient is in, we use a tool called the Norwood scale for men and the Ludwig scale for women. This tool allows us to identify, evaluate alternatives, and draw scientific conclusions.

In class 3, there is a shortage or absence of hair in the frontal area.

In classes 3, 4, and 5, there is no hair in the frontal area and the crown area, with a band of hair separating the two areas.

In class 6, only a narrow portion of hair remains, extending over the ears and gathering at the nape of the neck.

You are just one consultation away from regaining your hair.
